What’s been happening? The Candy Ladies’ Second Annual Homemade Chocolate Easter Candy Sale was another success. With the guidance and help of Julie Watts and EMTs within our parish, the Crafty Ladies purchased an Automatic Emergency Defibrillator, which will be easily accessible in the back room of the sanctuary Springo night was lots of fun and a huge success. And, the ladies continue to prepare for the Sixth Annual, Fall Craft Bazaar, which will be held on October 9, 2004 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. What’s going on next? So far, we have “definite” plans for the Fall Craft Bazaar. With the help of parishioners we hope to expand our baked goods/preserves portion of the bazaar. (NOTE: During the summer and fall, please keep us in mind when you are “putting up” your homemade/baked goodies, jams, jellies, relish, pickles, etc. which have been big sellers in the past; we will start collecting these donations the end of September.) We will also have craft tables of items made throughout the year, three raffle items, and items from many outside crafters. (We will not be able to have a plant sale this year.) We hope to begin selling our raffle items in June: (a) stained glass mirror, depicting the Lake, made by a local artisan, (b) hand painted birdbath table, and (c) wooden wine box tray and cheese board set. Watch the Church Bulletin for announcements on other future events. If you have any questions about the Craft, Knit/Stitch or Special Events Groups, please call Sandy Horan, Judy Adams or Gail Urban, respectively. |
